The Honesty of Solid Wood: From a Log to a Piece of Furniture

Material selection is where every craft begins. Our timber comes from sustainably certified forests and is air-dried for at least five years, keeping moisture content stable so it won't warp or crack later in life.

Craftspeople read the grain direction and knot placement of each piece of timber to decide whether it becomes a tabletop, a chair back, or a sideboard door — a conversation between material and imagination.

From cutting and planing to joinery and final hand-oiling, a single piece of furniture takes an average of fourteen production steps and over forty hours of labour — a warmth that fast furniture simply cannot replicate.
